Celebration of Community 2009 & Illuminaria : This free annual event intending to showcase all that is Mission, celebrates “Stewardship In All Things”, be it social, environmental, cultural or business. ------------------------------ It is brought to you by the Celebration Team from Fraser Basin Council Mission Association For Community Living Mission Heritage Park Association Mission Parks, Recreation and Culture. ------------------------------ Saturday September 19, 2009 saw thousands converge on Fraser River Heritage Park to join in this the10th annual celebration, culminating in a festival of lanterns and light known as Illuminaria Lantern Festival. Organized by the Mission Association for Community Living (MACL), this joyful gathering celebrates the spirit of community living and the message that everyone belongs.
